Your help means a lot to us

Since the work of our organization involves much time and effort on the part of our personnel, as well as considerable financial expenditure, we are dependent on your help. In the following, we describe some of the ways that you can help us.

Membership

You can become a sustaining member of our association and support it with a yearly contribution of 20 Euros. You can get the membership application from our brochure or from this website under www.die-kleine-pyramide.de under "Applications".

Sponsorship

You can take over a sponsorship for a needy or sick child and in this way help the child to have a better and more child-oriented future. For details see:

How does a sponsorship work?

Financial donation

You donate an amount of money that helps us to realized our projects in Egypt and finance our work. The bank data of our donation accounts can be found on the Contact Details page:

Up to an amount of 100 Euros, the transfer slip can be used as a donation receipt for tax purposes. For larger amounts, you will receive a donation receipt from us separately at the end of the year. In this case, please include your full address on the bank transfer document in the Purpose field.

Of course you can also specify that your donation is to be used for a specific project or child within the scope of our program. In this case, please add the specific purpose on the transfer slip (for example: Purpose “training program” or “blankets for the winter”).

Donation in kind

If you are coming to Egypt, we also appreciate your bringing along donations such as clothing, shoes, toys, hygiene articles, etc. and then depositing them in our center. Our workers will distribute your donations according to the needs of the recipients. If you are sponsoring a child, of course you can also give the donations directly to your child or his/her family.

We would like to ask you to not donate any medicines. First of all, medicines are subject to strict Egyptian customs control and must be registered and customs tax paid on them. Secondly, all medicines are available in Egypt at much lower prices than in Germany. Furthermore, the instruction leaflets and product inserts of medicines sold in Germany are in German and not in Arabic, which can lead to further problems.

Volunteer work

You have no money or things to donate, but want to help us anyway? Great, because in the Small Pyramid, we have a great need for voluntary workers to help us in our many activities. For this, you just need a bit of time and commitment.

Among other things, we need help in our public relations work, in the organizing and placing of sponsorships, in the recruiting of new members and sponsors, and in organizing and carrying out of our benefit and fund-raising activities. If you have any training in the areas of medicine and physiotherapy, you could consider a volunteer work stint at our organization in Luxor.

Further possibilities

You can carry out a campaign such as „Donations instead of gifts“, suitable for birthdays, weddings, baptisms, anniversaries, etc.

You can carry out a benefit flea market or something similar, with the proceeds going to our organization. You can be our “ambassador” in your city or community, in your school or at your workplace, in your circle of friends, etc. In this way, you make our work known, by distributing our flyers and brochures or in other ways disseminating information on our organization.
